Toolbar Functions

 

The Tree list button lets you see all of the trees and saved views in your database.

The Home button returns the tree being viewed to the starting size and location.

The Save view button lets you name, and save, the present view of the tree that is on your screen.

The Print button lets you access the printed reports.

The Root 1 button sets the root person of the tree being viewed back to the original root person when the tree was created. This is helpful if you change the root person to better view a portion of your tree.

The Root list button lets you select a root person from a list of individuals in the current tree. This is helpful for viewing an area of interest in your tree. Use the Root 1 button (above) to return to the original root person

The Rectangle zoom button, on the toolbar, can be used to center and zoom in on a portion of the tree being viewed.

The Map button turns the Mini Map in the upper left portion of the screen on and off.

The Details button turns collateral line information on and off.

The Events button turns event, source and multimedia information on and off.

The Dups button lets you see multiple occurrences of the same person in the current tree.

The RIN button turns the display of RIN (record identification numbers) and MRIN (marriage record identification numbers) on and off.

The Age button turns the age of the person at death on and off. The death age is shown to the right of the person’s name.

The Media button will hi-light in red the names of all persons in the current tree who have multimedia items.

The Search list button lets you find any person in the entire database by name or RIN (record identification number)

The Notes button will hi-light in red the names of all persons in the current tree that have note information.

The Bunches button shows you where concentrations of individuals can be found in the current tree.

The Search button lets you search the current tree for people, places and text in notes.

The FamilySearch™ button lets you download information from FamilySearch™, and hi-light or print people with ‘Ready’ ordinances.

The PersonID button turns the display of FamilySearch™ Person ID numbers on and off.
